Six new songs rich with Cali-clectic vibes. See what I did there? Yep, I made a new genre. I'm declaring this Cali-clectic (California Eclectic) because Rock, Reggae, Pop, Electronic Production, and Soul, featuring guitar and percussion is a little verbose. I played every instrument on the entire album, with the exception of the main drum track which I proudly credit to my man, Conner Martin. You'll catch some signature Ricky guitar licks and percussion, but I'm introducing you to deeper textures of reggae and pop, and highlighting my exploration into electronic music. Since releasing The Sauce Pot Sessions, I spent 2 years touring the U.S., got engaged to my wife, and overcame behaviors and vices that fueled a lot of the inspiration for songs on my prior album. With all that time on the road, I had the mental space to think about who I am (and want to be!) as a person and as an artist. I realized I can't be categorized and that, my friends, is my niche. With this freedom, my heart opened up and I've written two more albums worth of music in addition to this one and I'm writing daily!
Stay tuned for a new electronic dance single coming in November!
